Sports Program

Students of Gila Crossing Community School receive physical education services provided by the Gila River Indian Community department of Health Services . All First through Eighth grade students are scheduled for two half hour sessions of physical education each week while kindergarten classes have one PE session per week.

After School sports are being offered to all our eligible students at both of our campuses. This part of the program is partially funded by the school and partially by the River Children Project program which is a 21st Century Community Learning grant. In the Fall of 2002, the school joined the Superstition Athletic League and began competing against six other schools in flag football , volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball, track & field and golf.
